Performance Health is seeking a Global Category Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the assortment of products we sell by organizing product groups based on customer needs, enabling opportunities for consolidation, efficiency and innovation. Responsible for providing P&L oversight, improving profit margin within category portfolio, focusing on product innovation, conducting market, customer and competitor analysis for portfolio curation, analyzing category performance to drive volume, profit and operational efficiency, and work with procurement on sourcing strategy. Essential Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesLead global category optimization efforts in assigned category to achieve revenue and profitability goalReview periodic financial performance and sales trends including country and segment analysis. Analyze contributing factors to performance and impact of competitive strategies and prepare regular metrics as defined by leadershipDevelop product portfolios based on geographic locations and channels and clearly define 'good-better-best' and fill gaps within categoryWork with product/brand team to identify branded product opportunities and support new product development using the stage gate processConduct annual global SKU rationalization and assign substitute items for discontinued productsFoster positive relationships with vendors in conjunction with vendor management to secure exclusive contracts, access to new products and pricingWorking collaboratively within the global marketing department to help define and drive marketing excellencePerforms other duties as assigned Job Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related fieldMinimum of 4 years of prior marketing, category management or product management or other equivalent job experience; including global responsibilityDemonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teamsProven experience bringing products to marketStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office Products; Excel skills including v-lookups, pivot tables, Power PointMust be a “self-starter” comfortable with taking initiativeExperience managing multiple projects at one time while establishing priorities to meet goalsAbility to travel up to 10% of the time, including overnight travelPrefer experience working within a global capacityHealthcare of distribution experience preferred BenefitsOur benefits include healthcare; insurance benefits; retirement programs; paid time off plans; family and parenting leaves; wellness programs; discount purchase programs.This is a full-time position with a base salary range of $80,000 - $95,000 and the opportunity to earn bonus, plus benefits.
