261 Indy DC Indy Indianapolis, Indiana, USPerformance Health is seeking an Operations Supervisor to join our highly-automated distribution center in Indianapolis, IN. We are actively seeking forward-thinking individuals who possess a proven track record in managing and operating within automated facilities. The Operations Supervisor oversees the activities of the outbound department (LTL and Ecommerce) during their assigned shift. People management responsibilities include training, planning and assigning daily work, performance management, and conflict resolution. Essential Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesParticipates in the interviewing and selection process and makes recommendations to the Operations Manager and/or Site Leader regarding hiring decisions Provides training to current employees and new hires to ensure that all department members fully understand and consistently execute all job dutiesProvides direction, assigns responsibilities and motivates team to achieve department goalsSupervises all team members including setting expectations for behavior and collaborating with the Operations Manager to resolve personnel issuesParticipates in the performance review process and makes recommendations for promotions and identifies and communicates the need for disciplinary action when appropriateCommunicates distribution center and corporate information during daily start up meetings to employeesAdminister policies/procedures in a fair and consistent mannerUpdates incoming supervisor on operations status before daily departureDetermines proper staffing levels to ensure that all department activities remain currentAlerts the Operations Manager to any irregularities in the product inventory or processes (i.e. count and location errors, product shortages and product damage)Works with peers across departments, to insure overall facility successPerforms administrative functions including, but not limited to, Daily Ops reports, Attendance Reports, Daily Summary Reports Ability to operate equipment as needed with proper training Responsible for shipping requirements including Bill of Ladings, Shipment Manifests, Truck Loading, cut off times, etc.Performs other duties as assignedJob Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent2-4 years of supervision/management experience in a high-volume Distribution Center Experience with utilizing warehouse performance, safety and efficiency metricsExperience with Warehouse Management Systems(WMS)Strong math aptitude and quantitative problem solving approachMicrosoft Office Suite ability including: Excel and PowerPointAbility to frame opportunities in a clear, concise and logical mannerAbility to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot, problem solve and meet deadlinesAbility and willingness to obtain a forklift certification (training is provided) BenefitsOur benefits include healthcare; insurance benefits; retirement programs; paid time off plans; family and parenting lea
