Upholsterer

Armedica/Pivotal Health Solutions is seeking an Upholsterer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the fabrication, repair, and restoration of furniture, cushions, and other upholstered products. The Upholsterer works with a variety of textiles such as vinyl, leather, and fabric, ensuring that the end product meets company standards for appearance, quality, and durability. Attention to detail, the ability to follow design patterns, and a strong understanding of upholstery techniques are key in this role. Essential Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerform tasks with the safety of themselves and others in mindEnsure quality product while performing tasksAbility to read and understand basic measuring toolsStand and/or walk for extended periods of timeAbility to distinguish different colors and shades of fabricLayout and cut vinyl fabric according to the patternPrepare cushion substrate for final upholstery assemblyPrepare cushion foam for final upholstery assemblyUse glue and other materials in a responsible manner to eliminate wasteSew vinyl material as necessaryStretch and staple vinyl to wood backingMaintain clean and organized work areaDocument actions by completing production and quality formsUtilize Kanban system to restock depleted materialsInspect materials & finished goods in accordance with specificationsPerforms other duties as assigned Job Qualifications High school diploma or equivalentPrevious upholstery experience strongly preferredCushion stretching and stapling experience Vinyl pattern layout and cutting experience BenefitsPivotal Health Solutions offers a complete benefits package including 401K, paid time off, paid holidays and healthcare benefits.
