272 Cedarburg Buoy Mfg Manufacturing & Distribution Cedarburg, Wisconsin, USPerformance Health is seeking a Production Supervisor to join our team in Cedarburg, WI. In this role, you will be responsible for general supervision of all phases of plant operations including: employee safety, product quality, schedule execution, cost management, process implementation/improvement, and regulatory compliance (ISO/FDA). Essential Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership and process planning for the successful day-to-day operation of the manufacturing facility.Work closely with quality and engineering personnel to review product consistency while monitoring scrap rates to determine trends and areas of improvement.Review established production schedules for all manufacturing departments to ensure 100% schedule attainment while operating at the highest efficiency possible.Coordinate the hiring and training of all manufacturing personnel.Document work instructions as needed and ensure production records are properly maintained.Manage and document vacation requests, absenteeism, tardiness, or other disciplinary issues in conjunction with Human Resource department and Plant Manager.Conduct performance appraisals and provide coaching and guidance to all production employees.Monitor operation expenses and research ways to reduce costs while maintaining product quality.Work closely with the Environmental Health and Safety Manager to ensure all team members are aware of safety policies to provide a safe workplace for employees.Encourage and promote operating in a continuous improvement environment.Create purchase orders for Purchasing Manager to place orders for plant supplies as needed. Improve and uphold inventory management system to build stock based on historical sales data.Drive a quality/customer focused production organization. Performs other duties as assigned Job Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.5+ years progressive experience in a leadership/supervisory role at a manufacturing facility. Demonstrated ability to motivate people, assess and develop employee skills.Strong computer skills including the ability to prepare spreadsheets and use Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Power Point and/or Access) to analyze data and trends and to effectively communicate.Previous experience/broad understanding of safety systems and enforcement of safety rules and policies.Experience with OSHA and 5S highly desirable.Prior experience working within an FDA compliant (cGMP) medical device manufacturing facility will be given first consideration.Six Sigma, Green Belt or Black Belt certification or lean manufacturing experience desired.
