Performance Health is seeking a Packaging Engineer to join our team. This position provides basic technical expertise to the sourcing operation in regards to fundamental packaging and display design, assembly instructions, specs, and supplier management.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duties satisfactorily. Essential Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesDevelop, educate, and continuously improve packaging protocol for various packaging levels as assigned that minimizes the risk of product loss and / or damageUnderstand, and develop package design and testing protocolDesign and creation of new primary, secondary, tertiary, and display level packaging designs for retail, clinical, and e-commerce businessesCreate and maintain specifications, generate drawings and inspection proceduresResearch product technical information to maintain competent knowledge of various product attributesCreate and write assembly instructions for package assembly to be executed at any location Perform value analysis to satisfy form, fit and function requirements at the lowest total cost while maintaining product integrityAssist in development and implementation of key performance metrics of packaging suppliers as related to sustainability and environmental protection to meet PH company standards Manage and lead the execution of offsite kitting and execution, from start-up through actual shipment direct to customer DCsMust have a high level of initiative, business acumen, analytical and problem solving skills, good organizational habits and be results drivenManage projects with very high OTIF (on time in full) outputsPossess both commercial and technical aptitude toward Qualifying and Validating products & processesParticipate in supplier audits to determine technical abilities and support as neededIdentify potential new sources in technologies where commodity strategies do not yet existAbility to work cross functionally with all stakeholders of any given projectPerforms other duties as assigned Job Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering or related discipline2+ years engineering and/or packaging experienceStrong CPG packaging experienceDesign and creation of new primary, secondary, tertiary, and display levelSupplier management experienceAbility to travel 10% of the time; including overnight travel Performance Health is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
