The Dir, Transportation and Customs Compliance is responsible for all global transportation to include domestic LTL/TL/Parcel and International Ocean and Air. This role supports the global manufacturing and distribution networks.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duties satisfactorily. Essential Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesLead all transportation functions for all inbound and outbound movement of freight for all Performance Health and affiliate entities. This includes all reporting, spend management, carrier management, freight payment tracking and complianceAnalyze expenditures and other financial information in order to develop plans, policies, and budgets for improving cost and service performanceManage vendor relationships, contracts, KPIs, performance and cost savings initiatives for parcel shipping providersAnalyze carrier and vendor performance reporting to identify service issues and determine appropriate actions to address deficienciesDefine the scope, key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level expectations for various transportation modesPartner and collaborate with the Procurement Team to develop requests for proposals to competitively bid transportation service agreements. Manage service agreements and carrier relationships to the standards as defined in the agreementsDrive positive financial outcomes by developing weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly forecasting and reporting of freight estimates. Partnering with finance and leadership on significant variances to the forecastDrive carrier and vendor performance evaluations, quarterly business reviews and trendsLead freight payment and auditing functionsManage the entire transportation network, including optimizing routes, deliveries and delivery modes, load weight/cube utilization and ensuring proper administration of related records and documentationWork with global transportation partners to ensure global shipments are free to ship, working through barriers such as tariffs Ensure strong partnership with US Customs and adherence to all US, Canada and Mexico regulations for both import and exportPerforms other duties as assigned Job Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain10+ years of transportation experience; including parcel and global transportation5+ years leading a transportation teamExperience working with Domestic and International transportation providers Experience managing and utilizing a Transportation Management SystemContract negotiation experience with carriers to include setting and upholding KPIsExperience working with US CustomsAbility to travel up to 25% of the time, including overnight travel Performance Health is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Ac
