Performance Health is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing financial information, maintaining and reconciling accounts, maintaining journals and ledgers, capturing costs, preparing statements and generating reports needed to ensure accurate financial statements. Essential Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesDevelop and perform account reconciliations for various areas of the balance sheet and income statement during the month end closing processPerform inventory accounting related duties and management Inventory costing and review of bills of material for new itemsResponsibility for annual standard cost rollAssist in the review that all monthly close functions have been completedPrepares schedules and other information requested by outside auditors for the annual audit of the company’s financial statementsPerform account analysis to identify and resolve accounting issuesPerform detailed review of accounts and account reconciliations of their peers and provide constructive feedback and improvements during the month end closing processProvides recommendations for procedural improvementsAssist with the development and documentation of internal accounting proceduresCoordinate and interface with all departments regarding accounting issuesManage workload to meet established deadlinesPerforms other duties as assigned Job Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field4-7 years of accounting experience focused on month end close or public accounting experience2+ years of cost accounting experienceKnowledge of relevant financial software and ERP systemsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate to advanced Excel skillsAbility to problem solve, analyze information and correct issues at the root causeAbility to travel up to 10% of the time, including overnight travel To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.
